It’s actually been looking a lot like Christmas around here since about mid November. I saw this Target commercial the other day and almost spit out my drink.

So the tree was up by the weekend before Thanksgiving and I’ve been putting the final touches these past couple of days. I have informed my lovely husband that he will putting up icicle lights and garland on the front porch on Friday night. Once that gets done we will be officially done with decorating! We had to put the stockings on the stairs this year because there was no way Josie was NOT going to touch them on the fireplace. Although today I caught her trying to tug on the green one…
I’m having a cookie decorating party on the 17th and I’m excited to say the least. It’s definitely on a much smaller scale than the Halloween bash, but still so much fun! I also filled in my calendar for the month of December and literally scheduled in the fun. I did this on purpose because I feel that in October I was caught up in getting ready for one day that I lost so many other days of fun! I’ve been trying to take my time and really soak in the season.

I’m looking forward to making some cookie doughs this week and hopefully baking a few this weekend. I just love this time of year! I swear I’m on cloud 9 from October 1st to December 31st! Hope you are having fun decorating your homes and remembering the most important thing is being together with the ones you love!
Everything looks lovely as usual! Jon’s dad put up their tree, I’d go put lights outside myself but their roof is crazy high. oh well, next year :[ depending on how my finances go, I might attempt to buy a law creature of some sort for them but we’d have to stake it into the ground so it won’t fly away!
